Seating & Majlis
The right seating starts with knowing your space and your guests
Your guests are almost here and the space is still empty. Before you think about style or shape, two questions decide everything: is the place open or closed, and will your guests sit on the floor or on sofas and chairs? Every choice branches from those two questions, from zal rugs and desert seating to heritage majlis, luxury sofas and outdoor furniture. Seating is not decoration added on top; it is the space itself where your occasion takes place and how it reads in photos.
A common mistake is choosing the style before measuring the space. The problem is usually not the number of pieces but where they stand and how they face each other. Decide first: the area you have, whether the occasion is indoors or outdoors, and the look that fits your guests, whether traditional, contemporary, Moroccan or open-air. Then we agree on the pieces, their arrangement and their positions, deliver them to your venue and arrange them while you welcome your guests.

FAQ
Questions about seating and majlis rental
Start with your guests. Floor seating suits intimate gatherings, kashta nights and traditional styles, while raised sofas suit reception halls and formal occasions where guests sit and stand repeatedly. Tell us the nature of your occasion and your guests and the choice becomes clear.
Yes. Some occasions combine a Moroccan corner with outdoor seating, or a heritage majlis with luxury sofas on the other side. The key is enough space between the pieces so nothing feels crowded. We agree the layout with you before delivery.
Three things shape the layout: the form of the space and its entrances, how many guests there are and how they move between seats, and the purpose of the occasion. A condolence majlis needs rows along the walls, a party needs open clusters and a kashta night needs a circle around a central point.
Yes, but it needs the right floor covering first. A carpet, zal or event rug is laid before the mattresses and cushions go on top, so the seating sits comfortably above the ground. Tell us the floor type, grass, sand or tile, so we account for it.
No. Moroccan seating works well at engagements, henna nights and photo corners, while heritage seating suits national day events, cultural festivals and friends' gatherings just as much as family occasions. The style follows the atmosphere of the occasion, not the guest count.
Renting a single piece, a sofa, a zal or a mattress, suits someone adding one element to an existing space. A complete seating setup covers everything the space needs, from floor pieces and backrests to side tables, all arranged together. Tell us what is already in the space and what you actually need.
Outdoors, yes. Winter outdoor seating needs to sit near a heat source, and a floor setup covered with a zal and cushions can hold warmth better than individual chairs. In summer, shade and position away from direct heat matter more than the seating type itself.
